The Department of Nursing of the University of Peloponnese was founded by Law 3391/2005 (Government Gazette 240/4.10.2005) and started operating from the academic year 2005-2006 in the historical site of Sparta. By Law 4610/2019 (Government Gazette A 70/07.05.2019) the Department of Nursing is incorporated into the School of Health Sciences of the University of Peloponnese and is based in the city of Tripoli, with the beginning of its academic operation from the academic year 2019-2020. The Department of Nursing organizes and offers modern studies in the field of Nursing science, adapted to the broader scientific, professional and social requirements of our time.

The primary mission of the Department is to cultivate and promote knowledge about the provision of nursing services, as well as to provide students with the necessary skills to ensure their excellent training for a scientific and professional career.
