Postdoctoral research is defined as research conducted in an academic unit of the University of Peloponnese by a researcher who holds a PhD degree and is accepted by the Department in the context of updating studies in relation to advanced research. Postdoctoral research has as main objectives:

(a) the extension of the results of the researcher's doctoral thesis to new scientific directions of interest to the Department,

b) the development of new research areas in the Department relevant to the scientific area of the researcher's thesis,

(c) to contribute to the approach to specific research problems of interest to the Department,

(d) the strengthening of scientists capable of contributing to the advancement of nursing science, research and applications,

(e) the promotion of the academic prestige and international recognition of the University's research work.
